Certificate I in Business
Our Busi Events is offering FOURTEEN Certificate I in Business traineeships for women entering or returning to the workforce. This is a PAID traineeship for 21 weeks!
Our Local Pathways to Work programs centres the traineeship around the Certificate I in Business, personal development through positive psychology and on the job training in work-readiness skills. Throughout the program, we will focus on key aspects of employment, such as expanding on interpersonal skills, computer literacy and developing self-confidence and positivity in the workplace. You will gain hands on Barista knowledge, learn your way around a commercial coffee machine and how to make Barista style coffees at our social enterprise Bean Seen Coffee. You will have the opportunity to obtain your First Aid certificate and attend other non-accredited employability workshops. Busi Event often works alongside D’bay Families and other local organisation to assist them with local events.
Throughout the program you will have the opportunity to:
- Undertake a Certificate I in Business with the Registered Training Organisation Axiom College
- First Aid Certificate
- Barista Knowledge
Learn short courses in:
- Tuning into Kids, Tuning into Teens & Circle of Security Workshops
- Women, Work & Wellbeing
Be involved in the exclusive DBCYP Stay Connected program to support you in finding sustainable employment or further education.
You will be required to work 38 hrs per week – hours will mostly be Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, however, some weekend work will occur with events. This will be typically through face-to-face learning. However, there may be some online learning.
We will be holding an Online Information Session. After the information session, you have the opportunity to fill out an application form and you will need to prepare for and pass an interview process.
