Busi Events Traineeship

The next Busi Events Traineeship starts Monday 8th November 2021.

Are you ready to join Team DBCYP and start you career in Business and Events Planning?

DBCYP is looking for 14 motivated women to participate in our upcoming Busi Events Traineeship program, beginning 8th November 2021.

This 21 week paid traineeship will provide you with the skills and knowledge to be competent in a business administration or operational events role.

You will be employed full time, Mon-Fri, as part of the Busi Events team to plan and deliver a range of local community, children’s and cultural events. There may be some weekend work occasionally as well.

All trainees will complete a Cert I Business Studies and Barista, First Aid & Childsafe training.

Who is the Traineeship for?

Delivered through DBCYP’s award-winning Local Pathways to Work program, the Busi Events Traineeship will provide supported work experience and tailored pre-employability support for women facing barriers to employment and who want to work.

As this is a Qld Govt Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, you must also meet their eligibility criteria, which you can find here.

Personal Development & Into Work Support

As a Busi Events Trainee, you will experience an inspiring and supported work and learning space, integrating face to face and online learning environments.

You will participate in our Mindset Matters wrap around module, a tailored personal development program centred on action planning and 1-1 coaching, and the Prepped for Success Job Skills module, offering a series of workshops covering all aspects of job readiness topics such as CV writing, interview skills etc.

And finally, as your traineeship draws to a close, you will join our Stay Connected community, offering ongoing post-course job search, job matching and peer support.
