Certificate I in Conservation and Land Management
Are you 17-24 years old?
Do you love the great outdoors? Interested in maintaining parks, revegetation, land rehabilitation or conservation? Keen to learn skills such as collecting and identifying plant specimens, soil and water analysis, installing fences and paths?
Then you have come to the right place!
The Green Project is offering TEN Certificate I in Conservation and Land Management traineeships with the Registered Training Organisation Axiom College. This is a PAID traineeship for 18-weeks!
The accredited qualification will involve training about agriculture, horticulture and conservation and land management while gaining work experience. You will develop work-readiness skills, interpersonal skills, and personal qualities including confidence, resilience and autonomy. You will have the opportunity to undertake first aid training and a construction white card. Also, we provide in-work and job progression support to secure and sustain employment.
After the information session, you have the opportunity to fill out an application form and you will need to prepare for and pass an interview process.
In the interview, we will ask you things like:
- How good are you at getting up at the crack of dawn?
- Can you hack working in rain, hail or shine?
- Will you stick at more boring tasks like weeding for the day?
- Would you like to hike up mountains and watch ospreys soar across the sky?
- Do you love doing adventure activities?
You will work five days a week, seven hours a day, with starts usually around 7.30am.
You will work hard, but you will have more fun than you could imagine!
Our next Green Project traineeship will be Monday 17th May. Please register your interest below and we will contact you once closer to the start date!
