Young Men’s Project

Certificate II in Warehousing Operations

The Young Men’s Project is for guys aged between 15 and 19 years old. You can’t be enrolled at school, and be keen to get into work. We’re also keen to support young dads and if you’re having some issues with your mental health – we’re the course for you!

You will complete a Certificate II in Warehousing Operations with the Registered Training Organisation One Stop Training, which will give you the basic knowledge and skills required for a role as a store person in the warehousing industry. As part of the course you will also do your construction white card, first aid certificate, CPR and fork lift or scissor lift licence (age dependent). These are great qualifications to have for the workforce!

As well as the qualification, you will get linked with an employment coach that will help you with things like getting confidence to get a job, getting your ID together, how to arrange transport to work, and how to put your CV together. At the end of the program you will be linked to our Stay Connected Job Search program, to help you get work and stay in work!

The course will be for 11 weeks. The first 10 weeks will be Monday-Wednesday (9am-3pm). With the 11th week being Monday-Friday as you have the opportunity to do your tickets.

Our next Young Men’s Project course will be starting in September. Please register your interest below and we will be in contact shortly!
