Young Men’s Project

Certificate II in Warehousing Operations

The Young Men’s Project is for guys aged between 15 and 19 years old. You can’t be enrolled at school, and be keen to get into work. We’re also keen to support young dads and if you’re having some issues with your mental health – we’re the course for you!

You will complete a Certificate II in Warehousing Operations, which will give you the basic knowledge and skills required for a role as a store person in the warehousing industry. As part of the course you will also do your construction white card, first aid certificate and fork lift or scissor lift licence (age dependent). These are great qualifications to have for the workforce!

As well as the qualification, you will get linked with an employment coach that will help you with things like getting confidence to get a job, getting your ID together, how to arrange transport to work, and how to put your CV together. At the end of the program you will be linked to our Stay Connected Job Search program, to help you get work and stay in work!

The course will be for 3-4 days a week for 10 weeks.

Our next Young Men’s Project course will be commencing Tuesday 5th May.

An information session will be advised closer to.
